IMPORTANT PROJECTS
General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 by the European Parliament, that will come into force on 25.05.2018, has serious requirements for the organization and treatment of information assets of companies processing and storing personal data of European citizens.
Serious motivation is the possible maximum fines of € 10 million or 2% of the annual turnover for the previous year in case of noncompliance with the requirements of the Regulation. In case of significant data leakage of EU citizens personal data maximum fines are € 20 million or 4% of the annual turnover for the previous year.
This change is considered to be one of the most significant in Europe for the past 25 years and requires a comprehensive review, analysis and business adaptation of how businesses store, process and exchange personal data of European citizens.
